Week Six: Lowcountry Top Performers

Week Six is in the books Lowcountry high school football fans. But before we move ahead, we would like to reflect back on some of the top performance from last week. Several athletes from around the area made their presence known on gridiron this past weekend.

Inside, we bring you a list of the top performers from around the area!

Baptist Hill QB Corey Fields was 16 of 21 passing for 399 yards, and threw 6 touchdown passes. Fields also rushed for 148 yards and 2 scores.

Oceanside Collegiate QB Sam Hartman completed 13 out of 18 passes for 260 yards and threw 4 touchdown passes. Hartman also ran for an additional score.

Oceanside Collegiate SO RB King Delaney ran the ball 5 times for 146 yards and 3 scores.

Colleton County LB Jalen Lawton registered 16 tackles, 6 TFL, and 1 fumble recovery.

Colleton County QB Craig Grant threw for 161 yards and 2 TD passes. He also ran for 80 yards on the ground.

Andrew FB RJ Knowlin had 18 carries for 215 yards, and scored 5 TDs. Defensively he recorded 7 tackles, 2 TFL, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 forced fumble, and 1 interception.

Andrews 2019 RB Michael Pipkin rushed for 134 yards on 17 carries, and scored 2 touchdowns.

Hanahan senior RB Quincy Mitchell carried the ball 32 times for 279 yards and 5 scores.

John Paul 2019 RB Zachariah Doe rushed 15 times for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wando QB Cale Lewis completed 21 of 29 passing for 321 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wando wide receiver Conner McCarthy recorded 9 receptions for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Fort Dorchester QB Dakereon Joyner accounted for 5 scores for the Patriots.

Fort Dorchester Patriots LB Davon Gilmore recorded 9 tackles, and 3 TFL.

First Baptist RB Michel Dukes ran for 232 yards on 28 carries, and scores 2 touchdowns.

West Ashley CB Myles White received credit for 9 tackles, and 3 deflections. White also had a 55-yard kick return.

Thomas Heyward Academy freshman RB JR Patterson had 16 carries for 248 yards and a TD. Defensively, he had 2 pass breakups.

Thomas Heyward Academy QB Logan Thomas went 9 of 12 passing for 186 yards, and threw 1 TD pass. Thomas also rushed for 77 yards and 1 touchdown.

James Island Charter LB Germonta Brisbane recorded 11 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 TFL.

First Baptist LB Jackson Watson recorded 10 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 pass break-up for the Hurricanes. Jackson also scored on a 2-point conversion.
