Fort Dorchester High School 2018 safety prospect, DeAngelo Knight, was one of many local athletes in attendance for Super Saturday. Knight, without question was impressive to all spectators on hand today.

Quick Notes From Super Saturday
Just a week after going public with his commitment to the University of South Carolina, Cane Bay star, RJ Roderick, was on hand for some extensive DB training today with Coach Chachi. For an athlete that lines up under center for his high school team, Coach Chachi was impressed with what he saw out of the in-state commit. We will have much more on Coach Chachi’s thoughts, in reference to one of the Gamecock’s newest commit in the near future.
Another DB that thoroughly impressed the coaches on hand at today’s session was Fort Dorchester 2018 safety prospect, DeAngelo Knight. Knight made play after play during today’s one-on-one session, and without question, will receive a strong recommendation to land a spot of this year’s Shrine Bowl roster according to Shrine Bowl DB coach, Shaun Wright. Knight has picked up two recent offers from Appalachian State and Georgia State
Berkeley rising junior cornerback, Carlantre Morrison, was another solid performer at today’s session. Morrison is currently on the radar of quite a few DI programs throughout the Southeast Region. Coach Chachi strongly feels the youngster is in position to land a few offers before the conclusion of the summer.
Wilson High School 2018 cornerback prospect, Zion Keith, made the drive from Florence to Charleston to get in a little work with the defensive backs today. The 6-1, 190-pound CB who committed to Wake Forest back in early March was also impressive today.
Wilson 2018 quarterback, Jacob Quillen (6-4, 225 lbs.), tagged along with Keith for the ride to Charleston this morning, to work out with ML Elite QB coach, Brandon Cantrell. Coach Cantrell told us that Quillen looked pretty solid throughout the day, along with 2019 QB Deandre Saab (Fort Dorchester), 2019 QB Eric Tuttle (Berkeley), and Stratford 2019 QB Ryan Robinson.
Former Berkeley QB Darius Douglas made an appearance at Super Saturday, and worked out with the QBs. The former Lowcountry star will be heading up to Columbia, SC later on this summer, to join up with the Gamecocks as a Preferred Walk-on later on this summer.
As we made our way around the field, we took a look at a few of the “big boys” that were in attendance. Berkeley rising senior DL Marion McGill, who attended the EPT Showcase last month had another opportunity to link up with Coach Jackson for some training, along with Woodland 2020 defensive tackle, Jaysharn Boyd, who also attended last month’s showcase in Columbia.
2017 St. Augustine signee, Matthew Morrison, (former Fort Dorchester DT) was also on hand to put in some work during today’s session. We will have much more on Coach Jackson’s thoughts on the DLs that were in attendance in the near future.
Lastly, we took a look at the wideouts in attendance. After speaking with Coach Lawyer, he noted a couple of players that stood out to him in today’s session, starting with Cross 2018 wide receiver, Javonne Ripley. Ripley especially looked impressive during one-on-ones, coming down with numerous grabs Saturday afternoon. 2019 wideout, Cam Myers, of Berkeley also looked impressive throughout the day.
