2018 linebacker prospect, Germonta Brisbane, out of James Island Charter High School informed us on yesterday evening that he was offered by Mount Union, 13-time NCAA DIII College Football National Champions. The Purple Raiders have claimed national titles the following seasons: 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017.
The 6-0, 215-pound linebacker has an offer from Hutchinson CC out of Kansas, and has been receiving interest from The Citadel, Kansas, and Webber International. Brisbane registered 135 tackles, 14 TFL, 3 sacks, 7 QB hurries, and 2 blocked FGs for the Trojans last season.
While we are on the subject of James Island Charter High School… Former Trojan grad/wideout, Jordan Mcdaniel, announced publicly that he will continue his academic studies/athletics at North Carolina A&T. Mcdaniel, who opted out of his initial plans to sign with a 4-year school last February, signed/played with Jireh Prep Academy this past fall. After a successful season at JP, Mcdaniel is now headed to Greensboro, NC to suit up with the Aggies.
Kris Copeland has de-committed from the Citadel. The exciting playmaker out of Cane Bay High School made his decision publicly known on Christmas Eve. “After a long talk with my family, I’ve decided to decommit from The Citadel, and re-open my recruitment,” Copeland tweeted.
We hope to gather a little more insight on Copeland’s next move sometime in the near future!
