It’s been quite an intriguing day around the Lowcountry, in reference to recruiting, as a selected few have reported scholarships offers. A couple of locals picked up their offers, while a few others added to their list. More details inside!
SC State made a trip out to Summerville High School to see about senior wide receiver prospect, Shaq Davis. Apparently, they liked what they saw out of the big WR target, as the MEAC program extended him a scholarship offer. A host of several other programs have been keeping a close eye on the Summerville High star. Who will be the next program to offer the Lowcountry wideout?
Oceanside Collegiate senior wide receiver, Gerald Shephard, picked up two recent scholarship offers from the Univ. of the Cumberlands, and Urbana. Shephard now has a total of eight offers to his name.
We caught up briefly with Bluffton LB Richard Jenkins and to date the BHS star has an offer from Limestone College, and has been receiving interest from North Carolina Central and Georgia Military College as of late. Jenkins recorded 127 tackles, 8 TFL, and 2 interceptions for the Bobcats in 2017. We hope to have more on Jenkins in the near future.
We’re a little surprise to that 2017 shrine bowl selection, Jermaine Patterson, is still without an offer. Patterson is without question, one of the most exciting players to watch in the state. The Bluffton star finished out the 2017 season with 69 catches for 1404 yards and 20 touchdowns. A good week at this year’s Shrine Bowl festivities could change things up quite a bit for the Lowcountry star. See Patterson’s video HERE
We were told that more offers are in the works… However, we are awaiting confirmation at the moment. We will keep you posted.
